Well no there wasn't really a reason for the fighting. In the beginning, we fought the Bad Guys because they were bad... supposedly. And I guess they thought us because we were good. :huh

Well yeah. If you recall, it really wasn't very serious when it started. If it had been, we'd have probably come up with better names than the Good Guys and the Bad Guys.

Let's fight about the use of Linux/Opera over the use of Windows. I think that's a pretty clear cut conflict here on the boards, and it keeps things funny! At least that could be the factions instead of GG Vs BG.

Haha I actually thought of that myself earlier but that's way too silly. I also thought of Emperor Chewi controlling one half of the planet and Emperor Mik controlling the other half. But Emperor Chewi wouldn't be my main character, you wouldn't see him very often. Heheh.

i could possibly be ......abused into coming up with something that is if i can actually direct my thoughts some. plus i'd need to know exactly what it is you guys are aiming for in a storyline....basic good vs bad or something more complex???

The reason I choose FF8 was because in theory the magic and weaponary had an equivalent sort of effect in regards to injuries or whatever. Plus...who the fuck doesn't like the idea of a gunblade

I liked the idea of countries warring against eachother personally. Plus for there to be any sort of outline of the events that happen we need leaders for factions.

Is their anyone thinking of leading a side?

we need atleast 2 faction leaders.
keep in mind that just becuase youre a lead character doesnt mean you have any real control over the actions of others.

but from past experience it seems like leads were doing their own thing anyway.
it also seemed like a given that setting up faction forces and the like was an exclusive luxury/burden they had. faction HQ for example was mostly designed by them.

If no one is interested, we could probably go with chewis idea of having the leads be more background characters than star characters. but faction forces still need to be designed.
