it has been announced that Nobuo Uematsu has terminated his exclusive contract with Square and while he will prolly still add something to FF games he is no longer part of that company. the original and classic FF dream team now has little remaining originals left in the company.

Gee. It's probably for the best though, I'd imagine that he was really growing tired of it. The amount of stuff they asked him to write must have really strained his creativity badly.

heh, maybe he just retired

i recall he wasn't exactly the youngetst of the crew when he started up, besides, i guarentee he made enough money by now to live quite comfortably for the rest of his life reguardless of his age.

Strike 1) MonolithSoft founders leave Square Enix to complete Xenosaga for Namco, including Yasunori Mitsuda.

Strike 2) Final Fantasy XII is revealed to me more MMORPG oriented, thus killing one of the last vestiges of the best elements of the series.

Strike 3) Uematsu leaves. Thus killing THE last vestige of the best elements of the series.

FFXII wil probably be the second game int he series I'll pass up, the first being XI.

*sigh*

i gave up after FF IX, although i heard X wasn't that bad

i have an interest in playing XI, although i don't really consider it an FF game, more of a MMORPG based on the FF series.

you heard wrong

I like everything I'm hearing about FFXII thus far and Uesmastu isn't really that important to the game as a whole he just makes the tunes.

Has anyone concidered that it was time for a changing of the guard ? 20 years on the same base material had to be tough on them and being constrated by assholes who claim every one of their games or idea's isn't FF enough.

I have to agree with you there auron just had too many redeeming qualites to him, he made the game vaguely worth playing plus he had the best voice actor
