Ok, I just got Star Wars Battlefront (and by get I mean downloaded. I ain't giving Lucas any more money if I can help it) and I have to say that it's kinda disappointing.

Graphics, sub par to good. Some of the graphic effects are oversimplified and some look superb. I haven't played all the levels yet, only really bothered to play Hoth.

Sound, not sure if it's just my sound system or pirate copy but the sound keeps bugging out and it honestly sounds like your speakers have spent a week under water, or at least mine does.

Gameplay, as to be expected of Lucas Arts really. Those of you who have played Star Wars Galaxies or Jedi Academy will know exactly what to expect from any other Star Wars game by now and that is a half finished overpriced piece of shit. At least for single player anyway, I haven't tried it on a full multiplayer server yet where I think this game will more than likely excel, but fresh out of the box the game sucks balls.

Long story short, imagine Unreal Tournament set in Star Wars Universe with poor graphics no physics and little to no playability. Even once you have a full server I reckon the game will be poor with the very very loose mission objective being the only game mode. This basically means that once you've played each scenario enough times to get bored of it the game will quickly wear off.

Console users, don't bother with this game. PC users, unless you're an online gamer, don't bother with this game. It really is that disappointing.

***UPDATE: Just tried to connect to online server with my pirate copy. Seems my cd key isn't authorised. I'm gonna try to play the Galactic Civil War campaign on single player to see how much Lucas Arts invented to get this game off the ground and if some cracked servers for game pirates like myself don't appear, I'll be uninstalling this waste of disk space.

I thought the game was quiet fun when I played it on a LAN connection some few weeks back

How many people on this network? I might be able to get something figured out, a lot of fake/keygen serials are only blocked online and can be used fine on local area networks, if this is the case with battlefront I might actually keep the cd images in case I ever get a decent sized lan party on again.

everyone was running off a pirated copy

I would have it on my computer right now if I didn't have a crappy video card

and I think it was 8 people on the LAN

but any FPS with 4+ people is fun really

Most of the maps on Battlefront look like they will require full teams of at least 10 in order to ensure that something is always happening, although the game automatically fills in with AI players the AI sucks like Quake 3, you really need to get rid of as many of the AI players as possible. Maybe there is a smaller map for a normal size lan, but this seems to be another online game to me.
