i was thinking that with all the heavy demands on all of the current PC games that it would have influenced a change in pc standards.

yeah we coul use a max width but I don't wanna, I know of ways to get it work in IE, but it looks like shit. Everything resizes and smashes together, by keeping it fixed, even in bullshit rez's the foum remains fixed in style, it's better overall imo.

Oh yes and now I think about it, from Monday until Friday, I shall be stuck on a tiny 640x480 screen with a web browser that doesn't render CSS and has to be patched to support frames. But hey. I've used worse. I've got a text-based browser on here too.

I use 800 by 600 because I prefer it, plus my parents hate anything higher and my computer won't let me have my own resolution different than their's.

unfortunate dude i like 1024x768 the start menu fits on my screen now....but since i went on a spending spree i have had to go one higher.......now i need my glasses to read the forum

Heh. I'm now on my little computer with 640x480 screen, 256 colours and a browser that doesn't render CSS. This place actually works better than expected. It's laid out okay because it's using tables. I can't see much of the skin obviously. It's looking very white. But hey, I can even use fast reply. I don't think Javascript works but it was already being shown.

I think it's 157 high. And if you resize your window, you'll see there's something strange going on. It doesn't have a fixed width. The middle part repeats.
