let me guess, by the time you've established a base and are starting to create units, a vast army comes by and ends it?

that's how it always is mostly on strategy games online, if someone isn't using game hacks to create a vast army they just create one unit type in mass and use it to overwhelm whatever you manage to build. that's just my experience from how people playing starcraft mind you, but i would assume it's the same with generals.

Yeah, that happens in all RTS games online, starcraft being the worst because the starting units are actually among the best in the game.

I honestly don't get why people are playing C&C Generals anyway, Red Alert 2 is still way better than Generals will ever be.

*cries*

that was beutiful murton, hes fucking right,RA2 owns all of your mothers!!!

and yeah,i can whip a hard setting comp on gernerals, but, online i can imagin them doing what they always do,RUSHING,which is fucking annoying, but they all RUSH,motherfuckers, and they complain caling you a "defender",i rarely have come across someon who likes a good base building session

i like to build a base, then build a vast army, which just aint happeneing, kinda makes me glad some of my favourite games are ones i haven't bought, cos i would be uber pissed online getting picked on cos i want o play a decent game, not a 10 minute job,

if any of you RUSH,bastards,DIE

shin, the thing with people online who dedicate most their time on the net to playing strategy games is that most of them don't know how to play other than swarm tactics. put them in an actual scenario in reality and they wouldn't know wtf to do. swarming an opponent in strategy based warfare in reality would only get you so far before they decided to use other tactics. nobody wants to be creative in how they play really and i determined that fact about online gaming when i was 15 and did alot of rainbow six net gaming. nobody wanted to use tactics to win, they just wanted to rush in and shoot anything that moved rather than develop an actual strategy of how to play against the other teams or on co-op. i think i met only one person that ever wanted to use actual strategies and tactics to win rather than just shoot everything in sight.

now that i'm remembering all this about net gaming i'm realizing just why i quit. there's more mundane and boring people on them than there is on chatlines or forums.

I play in a lot of clan matches for CoD, we spend lots of time on tactics for instance in the match against the top dogs of our league we planned for 5 hours on tactics and we still got torched.

the only way tobeat a motherfucking rusher is to rush him yerself

but cos they decide to build 70 war factories and beat u in 5 mins, they think they are good, its like, here bases are never defended,i can rush someone and win,i just dont like to,hence i dont play RA2 online anymore, unless one of my mates wants to,they play properly
