how many of us are actual HL gamers?

it seems like anytime we've tried to get a game of any kind going in the past, not many people had the game or if they did didnt have the time to play it.

now that we have a server now it might be a little different tho. its a stable place to play.
i'd give it a while for interested members to setup.

by the way Jim...HL2 is just around the corner.

what are the chances of running a HL2 server?
probably slim sense its probably going to be hell just to be able to run the game on our home machines.

so what about doom3?
or am I pretty much the only person who'll have a copy of that?

Well some people have said to me they'd prefer a UT server and actually, I prefer UT myself. This was originally just going to be for my brother and his friends and he wanted Half-Life/Counterstrike so that's why I chose it. If the machine were a bit more beefy, I'd run more games on it. I doubt I'll be able to run Half-Life 2 very well. I don't want to host a game that I can't even play. Especially since I'd probably have to buy the damn thing? Or maybe not, they usually allow you to run dedicated servers for free. DOOM 3 I definitely will be getting. It's Linux native!! Don't forget the server addresses are...

You only need to buy Counterstrike if you don't buy one of the other Half-Life games.
