Normally i'd go on for many a post about it.

But seeing as I ALWAYS and CONSTANTLY have to defend my music....
I wont.

All it means is that I have actual taste for flavor, and the rest of you are missing out.

No purpose in trying to make others see the light when I can keep it all for myself.

actually, you CAN argue what's good and what's not.

beastie boys' irreverent lyrics and their social position as successful white rappers put them in a place no other rapping group has ever been.

Eh, I don't like the new Beastie Boys' "WE HAET BUSH!!!1" stance, but I gotta admit, the older stuff plus Sabotage, that's good stuff.

that's half the problem with their new stuff, they aren't leaders anymore, they follow the crowd, or end up behind it. A lot of the music industry has an anti-bush stance, and they just went right allong with it. Maybe if they were more like the classic Beastie Boys they would be pro-bush just to piss people off, or maybe just do nothing at all political.

Back when they were original, and i mean VERY original, they were excellent. I hate rap and i have to admit that the stuff they came up with in their prime i actually liked. Intergalatic had a few good tracks, but it went downhill from there.

look vandire is right the beastie boys suck kay but you like them, so despite the fact that they suck you are alowd to have an opinion. however by constantly going on about it you are fighting for what you beilieve in, but you are wrong and therefor have taken it to far. so admit it they suck the d rule (but not quite as much a papa roach whose new album is kick ass). anyway this isnt the music forum so we all wrong and the world will end in 5...4...3....2.....1 ........... mmm guess i was wrong about that one.

You know why you probably liked old Beastie Boys?

Because there was still a rock influence in it. These days, I don't think they use real instruments anymore in their music. Even though they still have a few catchy songs.

And I'm sick of bands and artists who constantly get involved in politics and/or have political messages, we like you for playing music, not fucking telling us how we should think.

Come to think of it, you're right. Sabotage had some great guitar work.

And as for the rest of your post, I agree completely.

You know that it has gone too far, when there is no opposition left, then your cause has become pointless. Everything must be balanced to have meaning, if it's not balanced, then whats to fight for? and if your reason has already been defeated, and you're still fighting for it, then you're just a heretic.
