Favored Non-traditional sword weapon?

those two handed almost polelike sword that the elves use in lord of the rings

plus big nasty hammers are nice

i liek the dodgey looking sword that the orcs use in TLOTR but i doubt if they would be sharp

actually shileds themselves make nasty weapons, specially if you know what your doing. Trash can lids work just as well.

scythes and weighted chains mostly. i occasionally favor other weapons though. and then there's god of war, the game where your weapons are blades on chains that go through your arms. that looks like an awesome game.
