I suggest you write up a linux for dumies faq, for those of us willing to give it try via dual booting.

theirs so many damn versions of linux that I dunno which to use or even why.

talk us thru getting a copy. installing it, how to work it, and how to uninstall it.

or point us to a version that we can run in windows like a program.

I've been thinking of writing a site on how to get various games working in Linux for existing users. This would be cool too. More for me to do though. I find it easier to guide people through as they go. I guess I'll add it to the list.

There's plenty of versions out there that let you try it without breaking your computer. The keyword is LiveCD. I've told Boothy to go for SuSE so he's downloaded that. If you just wanna try it out first, go get the SuSE LiveCD. Make sure you have at least 256MB of RAM though, LiveCDs need tons of the stuff. Linux can also be run inside Windows like a program but it's not as simple as all that so this is the thing to go for.

Oh and I'd just like to mention to those who see this that I'm not the one mentioning the L subject in every other thread. Blame Johnny. :P

You're above SuSE, Dave. I've been told it's considerably better than Mandrake though, which is why I have no difficulty recommending it to newbies. I didn't really like pointing them in the direction of Mandrake.
