E Readin'

You remember them, they are those things that cavemen used before they invented fire and iPads.

Nooks, Kindles,Pads,Tabs whatever.....

They replace physical Books for you yet?

The last couple comics I've bought and read have been via tablet.
though I still buy the issues at the shop.

I got a Kindle for my birthday, paper books are dead to me.

On a more serious note, I do enjoy a paper good book but it's soo much better, I have books everywhere, there are about 50 above my computer desk at home, there are like 20 up stairs and god knows how many in my Mom's house I just never took when I moved.

I can have like 300 odd in my pocket (combats ftw) and it's almost nicer to read and I don't break the fuck out of the spine of it all the time, to be comfortable while reading over an hour.

I dunno if I ever wrote a book, I think there's something to be said for it, I could also self publish on Amazon with zero cost and only have pay 15% to Amazon, like a motherfucking pimp.

But it wouldn't have the same impact of seeing it on a shelf or something.

I was pretty hardcore about self publishing a book through amazon about 2 years ago....

2 yrs later, I don't even have 10 consecutive pages.
had a pretty sweet cover thought.

I know a guy that's done it, I'll see him in 2 weeks, I'll have to ask him how its sold, it didn't really interest me so I never bought it, so that doesn't bode well

I have a kindle, but until the price of e-books becomes a little more reasonable, paper books still litter my house.

You have the internet Will, PDF's etc are easy enough to find, you can convert them into the more Kindle friendly .mobi in about 3 minutes.

Not that I condone that sort of thing.

I understand that... but that does mean I'll do it.

I'm still kind of bitter about e-book prices. I thought about starting to collect the Discworld books in e-format, until I saw they were ALL £7.99 each. I bought some of them new in paperback for a few quid :(
