I just noticed that I allowed HTML in signatures. Stupid me. I'd never do that now because I know how risky it is. Problem is you're all using HTML in your signatures now! Maybe I'll disable it when (and if) we move to phpBB3.

I've reported pirated forums to vB that are still there and still pirated (I was trying to be a cunt in those instances) I don't think vB take piracy that seriously. To top that, you're running on your own webspace on a very small telecom company. If they did manage to muster up a cease and desist letter, you'd just need to do exactly that...stop, use phpBB.

I'd say there are more chances of me flying to your wedding riding the silver walrus God of desperate housewives, than this place being sued by vbulletin for piracy.

That's beside the point. It's a principle thing that I take very seriously, I'm afraid.

Not too seriously. This board is pirated.

That's because I installed it back when it was supposed to be free and their lack of clarity on whether it really was free later on pissed me off. I'd switch now but I'm really busy and the only available convertor requires this ugly "adapter" to make the passwords work. I want to understand how it works before I use it.

I mean, I'm the one who sort of helped you get it, but didn't do anything incriminating. At all. Ever. Seriously.

You only gave me the updates, man. I thought we'd been running IPB since before I knew you but our join dates are only two days apart so maybe my memory doesn't serve me correctly. I definitely got v1 from their own site though, no doubt about that.

IPB stopped their freeness like a hotstone before Final in 2.0, epic level bullshit, imo.

Basically no enough people paid them for a license to suit them so after have an awesome community of awesome as a better setup that Phpbb at the time they said fuck you and went pay-only no much needed bug fixes.

Also, every old 1.3.1 board was systematically ROFLpwned in way that was a bit too total to be random.
