more abuse
I'm not saying Johnny shouldn't use it. It's okay for prototyping, which is really all he can realistically hope to achieve with these kind of engines. For a serious game, you really need something like C or C++, though you could also pull it off with languages such as Java (NOT the same as JavaScript) or Pascal/Delphi. Languages like JavaScript and Lua are just too slow. They are also prototype-based languages, which is a concept I find awkward to work with, though that's largely a matter of taste.
If I had to choose between this one and the other one, I'd probably go with the Lua one but that's just because it doesn't appear to be tied to Windows (no Linux support but it works on OSX so it can't be that far off) and Lua seems like a more interesting language.

hehe I'll get to hood in due time good sir.
think of it this way. Whats learned from Abuse will ultimately benefit Hood.
Right now I'm pretty amped up for the project again.
The plan is to stop messing around with engines/code etc, finish out the all the character models and artwork(at least at a basic level), put together a nice visual package, and hopefully attract some help.
Maybe theirs some hobbyists that needs to make a demo as much as I do.
still may try a movie
