Just finished in the last couple of days:
David eddings - the crystal gorge (this series is getting pretty lame.... i blame the contribution of Leigh Eddings)
Robin Hobb - Shaman's Crossing (was quite good...though main character needs a little more iron in his backbone)
Anselm Audley- Aquasilva trilogy (Heresy, crusade, inquisition (i think)) alright...i guess but i dont like how it ended...so ....untidy

I'm currently reading House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski. It's a fantastic, unique, creative novel that defies description. It may not be for everyone; Only read it if you aren't stupid or lazy.
I'm also trudging through King's Dark Tower series. I've rediscovered the fact that Stephen King isn't a very good author, but I started this when I was younger and I really want to know how it comes out.

I'm actually reading a real book this time.
Eragon at the moment.
I figured i'd read both the books befroe hollywood turns it into a movie.
first time ive read a book without it being an assignment since.....
this could actually be the first time now that i think of it.
So far.
it seems a bit lame.
only becuase some of the things in it seem so typical elves and wizards and evil empires and blah. and the main character is just weak.
half way thru the book im thinking "Geez, how many times can a person knocked out"
seriously, this kid seems like a record holder. probably be at 8 by the end of the book. and if he's the lead in the next book, i just may not read it.
only reason i keep at it is cuase somthing about it makes me want to kick its ass with Biddy Hood. and thats good I guess.

holy shit the second book sucked.
politics....mixed with an unhealthy and boring facination with gay elves, and an ending that was predictable from the middle of the first book.
they manage to make the character halfway cool....then they stripped it all way in an effort to make him even better...ofcourse, he really really sucks now.
i swear its fucking super-man syndrome...
they make a honest limited human character into a invincible prick and think that a) is a good substitute for character develoment.
B) well make him the greatest hero ever.
when the truth is...nobody likes super-man
I quit.
