I just wanted to know if anyone had read them. Specifically Mik because the blurbs are suspciously like the book he mentioned to me the other day. The blurbs did kind of make me want to barf. I'm just a little too sick of the whole vampire human turmoil, add werewolf friend that doesn't like your vampire boyfriend crap. I swear it's been done before...way before this series of books. I suppose it's just Harry Potter for Vampires.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Harry Potter, but at least it wasn't all melancholic my tummy is full of butterflies, he's so CUTE! shit.

Maybe i've got it wrong and this Isabelle/bella/something chick isn't that pathetic but the blurbs of the books sure made it appear that way.

I'd have to look it up to find the author name, I have the book in the house somewhere still, but it could be in the number of hiding places I leave books.

Edit: Nah, mine was by Christine Feehan, basically porno in book form imo, kept hoping for a story to develop, it never arrives.

The name Meyer is familar but I looked up on Amazon haven't read any of her stuff, reading the synopsis I'm not impressed enough to start either. Generally these days, unless I'm 100% certain I'm not going to get a vampire fuck fest with a two line werewolf mention I'm not going to look further.

That Anita Blake shit was the last straw.

Werewolves need better PR.

Me and Jo are watching "True Blood" which is base don the Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries books. The program is ok... But... ergh. Her friend said we should check it out, and ever since watching Twilight she's been big into vampire stuff. Something I've noticed about True Blood is it, again, centres on a human chick loving a Vampire (and him loving her) and I think that's the main part her friend likes... Now she's 33, not 19 so I don't see the whole appeal of that side of the story. For me, this True Blood is interesting because it's basically about Vampires coming out and trying (some, at lest) to live in society alongside humans and the whole political turmoil that follows. But it keeps coming back to this stupid love story - There is no way I could sit through Twilight since it doesn't have any of that sensible stuff about it.

We were watching True Blood when they were showing in on Channel 4 and want to continue with the rest on DVD. We thought it was great! It's also verging on a porno, which is always good too. :P

All these faggots reading stephanie Meyer.

I don't know if she's the twilight bitch, or the harry potter bitch... but I know she's the "bad author" bitch.

Me and Jo just like saying "Sooki" in the style of Bill.

I don't know about anyone else this side of the pond, but I read that as "Sue-ki", instead of "Sucky". So, we find it hilarious both in the way he says it in that deep gruff voice, and also because we're expecting him to grab her head and force it towards.

Though, it's frustrating to hear everyone on the show says "Tara". "Tar-ra", but they all says "Teh-ruh" :(

Haha that makes us giggle as well.

It wasn't until I saw X-Men again that I realised she was Rogue and based on that, I don't think she puts the accent on. She also won an Oscar when she was 11, believe it or not.
