Which should I go for, then? Under $20 and a longish wire.

I'm using a £5 keyboard from Tesco on my desktop at the moment. It does the job. The mouse I also got from Tesco sucks though.

I bought a Labtec flat keyboard for the PS2. That was £10 and quite sleek.

I used to have wireless kit but it drives me mental, I hate wireless gear, give me hardwired to the wall with a rope tech every time.

use a fairly standard 2 button laser mouse and a Saitek gaming keyboard.

I don't have a keyboard for my X360, don't see the need.

Their is no need unless you have one of a few MMO games.

if not, kinda pointless.

theirs the new msn that might add more reason.
but not too much.

my PC is 3 feet from my Xbox, not really going to have an issue there. Not that I've played it much lately ... once Too Human launches in like a month I'll be on though, a fried of mine is defiantely gonna team upw ith me for some mad co-op action.

you didn't even know what too human was last week till I said something like "they say this game based on norse mythos"

It looks like i wont be playing any consoles for a while.
and my pc is too crap for much else.

They could make a cardboard box, say it's about norse mythos and I'd go nuts, I don't smoke or drink this is my vice :P.

This msn functionality was a bit of a con. They advertised that you could use this while playing games and showed pictures of a small chat window at the bottom of the screen on the dashboard. In actual fact, your game is paused and I'll give a tenner to anyone who can figure out how to get that chat window up, without having to hunt around the internet for it.

I'd like to see more keyboard functionality in games, also. Playing Texas Hold'em on XBLA I fancied just typing in my raise, but alas, I couldn't. It's these little things that make the difference.

Also, derailment from my point: I wonder if there will be a web browser added later this year? As pointless as it may be to some, it'd also come in handy to you one day...mark my words!

Aye, CTRL+M

But I was under the impression that this box shows up over games and allows you to type, whilst possibly playing at the same. So you never miss an IM. But meh, I think it needs some working out. Maybe the Autumn update this year will have something addressing that.
