Candy Shop

I go to a candy shop
To buy me a lollipop
At the store
There is candy galore
Chocolates, licorice, and every color jelly beans
Reds, yellows, blues, and greens
There are jawbreakers, taffy, and even mints
All of this only cost five cents
But as I walk about the shop
I don’t see not even one lollipop
No greens, nor reds, not even a yellow
(Although there is candy in the shape of a pillow)
So I ask the busy owner
And he says,” I don’t have a lollipop donor.”
“A donor?” I ask
“Yes a donor,” he says as he goes about his task
“All our candy is donated by townsmen,
Because this store doesn’t even have the money to but a candied pen
On the money it makes
Selling candy and cakes.”
“Oh.. Ok...can I buy a chocolate bar?”
“Sure it will cost you one dollar.
So I buy the candy
And go home to play with my dog, Mandy

(A poem that has no meaning but is cute all the same...yepyepyep :D )

hmm, trying to hard to rhyme it would seem

poetry doesnt need to rhyme, but it needs meaning, or significance, in my opinion anyway

Heh. It's like the only poem i've written that actually does rhymn. I was super bored in study hall in my eleventh year of high school when i wrote that. I was sucking on a lollipop and it gave me the idea to write that poem. Like I said it doesn't make a lick of sense, but it was fun to write.
