Aren't those the name of the wolves that chased the moon and sun in Norse mythology?Lastwolf wrote:If I ever had a kid, may all the gods help it, I'd name it something awesome like Vidar or Skoll.
Why not Fenrir?

Skoll is.
Vidar is the guy that pretty much ripped fenrir in half by prying his mouth apart.
wait, wait, Mik would have to confirm that. my imagination tends to just to fabricate things when it comes to mythology battles
if you could see the fight between Anubis and Seth they wayI imagined it, every action movie would suck for the rest of your life.

Wolves do make fasionable carpets.Super Goat Weed wrote:Why not Carpet?
And Johnny you are right. Vidar did indeed rip open Fenrir's jaw whilst avenging his father's death. The other wolf to Skoll is Hati. As Wikipedia says:
Sol is chased during the day by Skoll, a wolf that wants to devour her. Solar eclipses signify that Skoll has almost caught up to her. It is fated that Skoll will eventually catch Sol and eat her; however, she will be replaced by her daughter. Sol's brother, the moon, Mani, is chased by Hati, another wolf.
My Aunt has a dog called Fenrir...

I think its kind of a cool idea to give historical names to people of the future.
Akenaten would be pretty badass.
All the names Ive thought up for future children have historic or mythc roots.
but my kid will most likely end up John IV.
Simply cuzz Ive never seen roman numeral names (I mean in personal experience) go higher than my own number III.
