The money thing I can understand, and somewhat expected. But taking the stance that Pokemon is gay and it's supposed to be for kids is a bit ridiculous. Understandable I suppose, but unfounded and ridiculous.

you have to admit the way they styled it was obviously to appeal to younger audiences.

hense why i kinda think it's a bit juvenile...

the concept is pretty solid though, and since the game is in it's quadrillionth installment, they must be doing something right.

I'll probably be getting ass raped by Pikachu and his friends online no doubt though . . . but Pokemon has more depth as an RPG than anything released by SquarEnix in the last 5 years.

Three Six Oh is a paperweight, So I been playing the old lately..
kinda boring

So my brother shows up out of the blue, like he always does. Throws a game at me.

Final Fight: Streetwise

the game whose forerunner was BeatDown: Fist of Vengeance.
that game that reportedly did so poorly..that they shut down the studio ( studio 8 )

aka...crap.

I happened to like beat down. it wasn't good, but it wasnt terrible either.

ive only played Final Fight for about 20 minutes.

its a gem
a rough and unpolished gem, but it still has some value.

its great on the nostalgia, and still manages to move forward.
and excellent for adding to the mythology whole street fighter/final fight world.

The controls...ech, they kinda suck at times...
non fmv and fighting animations are comical...just the walk cycles really

but I swear the direction of the game is superb.
felt like i was watching a movie. (but not at the ridiculous level of movie watching seen in mgs or ff) this is were the animation really shines. this is were the magic of story telling takes happens.

aside from the direction is the world itself.
itself.
game comes off pseudo open-world

They don't make games like this genre anymore.
its probably cuzz nobody has ever done it right since 3D became a standard.

but why must people stop trying?
especially when this two games got so close and could be fixed fairly easily.

*sigh*

maybe i just have a knack for liking crappy games.
but most time I see shit loads of potential in them that you will never read/hear about
in the average game review.

Burnout Revenge - Xbox 360

And a title that I now own 3 different versions of and have absolutely no regrets about purchasing any of them...

Ninja Gaiden Sigma - PlayStation 3

I'm pretty sure I could keep buying that game over and over again with new content for like forever. And everyone else should too.

I cant agree on that one.

its close to the point of the game being more bonus content than regular content.
they need to refocus their efforts.

matter of fact i thin the whole thing is sort of a rip off.
they dont have to do much real coding they dont even have to make many new textures.

its damn near a mod...maybe less than that.

not worth repurchasing to me.

Booo...we don't get it for another 2 weeks.

I have it "GameFly"ed though. Looking forward to that.

And the last game I played was Halo 2. =D

Oh yeah, and on the Sigma thing, yeah it is a rip-off. A HUGE rip-off. But I really don't care because the game is good enough to be worth it for me. The game is fun enough to play through multiple times, but to be able to play through again with new enemies, bosses, weapons, levels, characters, and the advanced AI that comes with every new iteration, I have no problem paying multiple times for the game. I honestly think it's a great idea on Team Ninja's part. Unfortunately, the best games don't always sell the best, and that's the case with Ninja Gaiden. But the hardcore fans are willing to continually pick up the game every time it's re-released, and I don't blame any of them. And while I'd like to blame those that DON'T pick up the re-releases, I can see where those people are coming from, so I can't.

But regardless, I don't think they need to refocus their efforts. There are two named projects in the works for them right now. One is Ninja Gaiden 2, the other is that Code Cronus thing, which I don't know what's been revealed about that and what hasn't, other than the guy that worked on Sigma is heading up that project. Plus, Ninja Gaiden on the DS. Itagaki is essentially training that guy to be his successor.

I think I heard Cronus was to be another DOA
but that was at least a year ago.

anyway, Id just rather see a whole new package, instead of a new feature.

you know, like that big sigh of relief when street fighter 3 was announced after about 10 street fighter 2's

I got into Advance Wars Dual Strike yesterday finally, and now I REMEMBER how much fun and addicting the series is. Thank god too, because after about 300 hours, it was time to put down Pokemon.

Maybe now I can make some progress on FFVI for the GBA as well.

Overlord. this game's really fun. It's a bit like Fable and Black and White. The battle system is pretty fun. At first I thought it was going to get tedious and pretty uninvolved, however the first dungeon boss proved me wrong on that one. The game play element did become predictable. First starting with Brown minions, then red, green and finally blue. Each having a separate task.

All round, it's a fun game, though :E

Also, Quake 4. Now my machine is good enough to play it.

Is Quake 4 actually any good? I didn't hear much about it one way or the other.

personally I thought quake 4 seemed so....Basic.

ofcourse that could be exactly what people want/need lately

the fps + gimmick thing gets old.
quakes lacks of a gimmick could be a good thing.

Bioshock is freaking amazing, and I'm really enjoying the philosophical aspect they worked into the game.
