ummm, wouldn't the air force more be about dropping bombs and / or blasting them out of the sky with lazers or something ?
seeing as how mid-air difussals might be problematic

LOL
I still have Will Thompson's number and his address.
He left the armed forces and went back home. He's still good. He's got a new girlfriend apparently she's got spunk. Umm...what else.
He's at College now and loving it.
And fred's fine too....if any of you care.
This is slightly more current then you guys I think? LOL I talked to him....hmm...late march..
No he didn't get abducted by aliens

Ultimate Spider-man
its pretty damn good.
But you before you play it you may need to have a little Ultimate Spiderman knowledge.
not too much tho, just an understanding that ultimate spider-man is retelling of the original spider-man series, with one hell of a face lift to make things fit into present day times.
one quick example...
classic:
peter parker is a photgraher for the daily bugle.
ultimate:
Peter parker is pretty much the dialy bugles IT guy.
anyway...
that said lots of things in the ultimate version series are differnt, and yet they remain the fairly the same.
The video game uses this as its base.(duh)
the game story focuses on the origin of Venom. (no longer a space mutant)
The game it self is pretty good.
the playing space feels like an open world game similar to Saints ROW or GTA, but its hardley a sandbox game like those titles are. so dont expect too much of it.
what you do get out of the open world is lots of fun travel time thats made great by controls that feel so damn natural and fluid, that after about 10 minutes learning them, web swinging feels about as natural as walking.
one of the key elements of the game is that you get to play as venom about 45% of the game. its not just playing as him that makes the feature worth it. its the getting the full story while playing as him. (from what I hear if youre reading the books, playing the game actually helps out the understanding of whats going on)
one issue about the game I have is that it may have to many race type missons.
but if youre good at getting around it shouldnt be a too much of a problem.
the games music is pretty decent. it fits very well. Its not quite is dramatic as the music from the movies, tho its not quite as light as the music various cartoons series.
its somwhere in the middle. and its sticky. i'll probably be thinking about it next time im reading the book.
another issue i have with the game is the lack of parker time, but i understand why its not in the game. Parker time is rarely action packed as opposed to spider time wich is. spider time just makes for a better video game. however, I'm not sure it excuses some of the other things theyve omitted from the game. I'd have liked to see an appearence of some of the other cast. maybe they felt that included them would draw the game into a deeper place than they were aiming.
the voice work feels a little off at first. but you get used to them.
its a classic case of text to audio translation. when you read it they always sound differnt in your head than the voice actor who got the job.
spider-man is voiced by Mac (Fosters home for imaginary friends)
some of the dialogue is pulled entirely from the book in an effort to keep it faithful to the books, however im not sure just how faithful the game is. the game kindof ends at a place in the series that i havent yet gotten to.
so the game may have spoiled some things for me(huge things)
on the other hand the lack of certain characters may mean that it hasnt spoiled to much at all.
I want to say the game is a bit short...
however. i did play it till my thumbs started to hurt. (I havent done that in a while)
if youre at all into comics, especially the marvels Ultimate run, I think you should atleast give the game a rent. I loved it, but im not gonna buy it.
beware: if you like it as much as I dd, its probably gonna cost you about $200.
cuzz now i gotta buy all the hardcover volumes of the series at 30 bucks each.
fucking Marvel comics...

It'll be interesting.
I've done something unusual.... in that i've finally had time to set up the game cube and play a game. (this is actually gasp shock horror ) Decided to restart a game of Wind Waker.
I felt the need to button bash something to death.
