Saw Hellboy 2 - rise of the golden army, I enjoyed it, it's not a serious comic movie, but it's nice to have a laugh. I loved the crown and when it connects up... it's fucking just... awesome.

Apparently this is the guy that's doing the new hobbit movie... and that crown just makes me think it'll be awesome. I think the comedic elements of this movie where better than the first. Plot is also better than the first... though i find the whole twin thing a little stupid. Nuala needs to grow a pair.

Also saw Hitman - which was ok... i fell asleep towards the end... not sure what really happened...going to have to wiki it.

Also saw the bank job : which i really enjoyed. More a DVD movie i think.

Wanted.

I made the grave mistake of looking into the comic book the movie is based on.

because the movie is only LOOSELY based on it.

The movie itself is like Fight Club or the Matrix.
and thats cool enough, and I guess the movie is pretty decent.

however, the book. is a totally different thing all together.
the book is sort of an ashamed celebration of super-villains and the general idea of being bad.

the movie....
the movie spins it right around into something almost quite the opposite. the main character is still an asshole in the film. but he's not an evil asshole....so he comes off more like a heroic jerk.

I think I'm gonna hate the movie a month from now.
I hate Jolie, and she's as always.... pretty forgettable in this movie.

I was skeptical that Wall-e was going to be good. I thought... how can they animate robots to give the appropriate expression, but they did.

They is a uncomplicated joy about the emotions in it. I find alot of shows now a days can't quite achieve that without those murky undertones.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. I haven't seen the other Underworld films but this was excellent. Very atmospheric with a good story and just the right amount of action.

Along Came Polly, sort of alright for a Ben Stiller movie.

Wanted.

I'm mixed.

I don't like Jolie.
and the movie would have been pretty much the same with anyone in that role. so she didnt add anything to it except a marketable name.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't striking either.
Ofcourse, I probably ruined it for myself by researching the comic book its based on before seeing the film.

I hope that doesn't get me into trouble with Watchmen.
but that looks like 1:1 translation so far.
