I was musing about getting a new domain name again and this time, I think I'm actually going to do it. I found out that aura-online.co.uk is available and aura-online.com might even be possible. The latter is held by one of those companies that buys up domain names. I've sent them an e-mail to see what they want for it.

According to Afternic, aura-online.com is listed at $333. Whether that's accurate or not, it's probably selling for more than it would be worth to us.

Bastards. I really REALLY hate companies that buy them up like that.

They've just quoted me $225. Better but still stupid. I'm thinking about it.

I dont really mind since i'm lazy and don't type the actually thing in that often.

It's not like ffaura-kicks-ass.net/forums/ isn't a pain to type now as it is...wouldnt anything else just be an improvement?

there's an idea

can't you just use ffaura.com?

The reason I'm doing this is because my business name is Aura Computer Services and I may well use "Aura" for other things in the future. I want something generic that will suit all of those things. The "ff" bit looks stupid in the context of my business, even if my clients don't know what it means. One of them actually thought my business was called ffaura.
