the site has a little icon that shows up next to the url in my browser.

whats that about?
how do i do it for myself?

Heheheh. Well it automatically gets searched for by the browser. There were tons of error messages about it not existing in the server logs so I thought we might as well make one. It only works if you're able to put a file in the root of your domain. For example, if you can put files in http://www.kaoticfoolz.com, that's fine but if you can only put files in http://www.kaoticfoolz.com/mystuff then that's not fine. You need to call the file favicon.ico and it needs to be in the special ICO format. It should contain a 16x16 and 32x32 image. Both should only have 256 colours. Not really a problem at that size. I'm not sure what you'd use to save in that format. It's actually a Microsoft format but I found an easy Linux tool to convert from PNGs.

Actually I was wrong about it having to be in the root folder. It can be in any folder.

i finally got around to making one.
but if it shows up at all...it shows up as auras icon insted of the one I made.
happens with a few other sites too.

now my icon thingy shows up as some other goofy icon from some other site.

You sure you saved it in ICO format? Tell me the URL, I'll try it here.
