A Song of Ice and Fire: ADWD [Spoiler Zone]

You remember them, they are those things that cavemen used before they invented fire and iPads.

You know I never really liked Flower boy and Margery but the TV series really really made it so much more obvious to me.

My whole theory from the start was Jon Snow was the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen but now it just seems to obvious. Dany needs another rider, it would of been a nice fit. But now with the end of a dance with dragons I'm not so sure. Though hell Catelyn isn't 'dead' so like... Jon's probably 'died' but has also neatly been removed from his vows to remain at the wall or something. Oh I dunno.

What interests me the most is Arya but it's taking way way to long to get where I want it to go.

I want Brienne and Jaime to be ok, I don't want them to be romantically involved I just want there friendship and story to go on somewhere.

Yeah, getting stabbed in the neck will free up your planned meeting for the day.

Melisandre is like right there though and she's waaaaay more powerful than the Red Priest (who revived Catelyn and Dondarion) so he might be able to regen the damage done as well and be a functional human being, rather than the proto zombies that they are.

The Jon Snow thing, yes. That's my pet theory too and it's a favourite of a lot of people, it's so very OoC for Ned Stark to sleep around, even if at that stage he wasn't really in love with his wife, what with it being arranged marrige, her betrothed to his bro and all.

Arya, is the long con, there has to be a pay off for her, it's just going to be long in the making, my favourite pet speculation is that Dany gets everything she ever wants, gains the Iron Throne, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms unopposed, the works, after the coronation she stands alone in the throne room, looking at it, testing out the blades thinking about her father and how it used to cut him, like he wasn't worthy of it. Out of the Shadows comes Arya, ganks Dany, "Valar Morghulis Motherfucker", Credits.

I'm about a 5th of the way through ADWD: Dreams and Dust. Obviously none of the above is a shock or spoiler to me anymore, after seeing much of the show.

It sounds cliche, but I really am enjoying reading the books more than the show.

I'm not sure why they cut out the Dorne stuff from the show at all. Doran Martell is basically on and off in the show within moments.

Cersei being incarcerated by the High Sparrow is still enjoyable. Though, I do have to question, did Margery really lose her V to someone already? Clearly she didn't bump uglies Renly with and Joffery didn't seem to touch her.

The book makes it pretty plain that someone had already poisoned Tywin Lannister with Tears of Lys. Who? Olenna?

I don't know about the books but I certainly got that impression from the show, particularly from a conversation she had with Sansa.

Just before season 8 aired, I played the Telltale game. It was very good but ultimately unsatisfying because they left it very open-ended and then obviously went under.
