PS3 wins.
or you could look at it as 360 having an 3-4 month industry lead. which will give it a true display of power rather than any tech demo can, it'll be 3-4 months of space to gain new consumers as well as please older ones, and a 3-4 month time period to change and set the standard of gaming without any competition.
in the mean time many people will have invested too much into 360 to just up and change over whenever the ps3 along at a much higher price, without a solid online gameplay format, and with many of its titles being 360 ports instead of being ps3 specific.

Sony generally know what there doing but I can't help but wonder if they dropped the ball here.
at the pre-lease of the PS2 they had the console market in a death grip with the PSX and they knew XBoX was on the way and they hit first and hit hard so by the time XboX rolled out they had considerable market share and both sets of fanbases.
the success on the Ps3 realies on customer brand loyality and XboX 360's third party support if the XboX runs with great games and quantity that's gonna hurt the Ps3.

I could lead to an MS industry lead, but I don't think there is going to be just one console on the market for a very long time. More than likly pointless struggling to take market share and us, the consumer probably getting cheaper games.kaos wrote:or you could look at it as 360 having an 3-4 month industry lead. which will give it a true display of power rather than any tech demo can, it'll be 3-4 months of space to gain new consumers as well as please older ones, and a 3-4 month time period to change and set the standard of gaming without any competition.

i think most companys who have billions in the bank know what they are doing. But i do agree on Goat and Mik, the PS3 is just a theory machine. There having problems with Toshia on the blue ray talks and the core processors arnt doing that great so i hear. So it will all have to pick up by the end of the year.
They were silly rumours that the PS3 wont get release till 07, i doubt that for sure as that would be a kick in the nuts for sony. Also heard that Sonys PS1 and PS2 products like the memory cards, controller and dance mats wont be complaity with the PS3. Cause for the memory card side i guess them want to go with the memory stick duo the ones they use for the PSP
