Luis Buñuel's Viridiana. Definitely one of the best ten films I've ever seen. The sense of humour is so darkly sophisticated. Pessimism fills the movie from tail to toe. And Buñuel also takes every chance he has to mock and belittle the Catholic Church (which pleases me very much so).

What was it? Hero
What did you think of it? kick ass. Beautiful, excelent combination of fast elaborated 'crouching tiger hidden dragon' style martial arts with gorgeous art, increadble scenery and, of course, a mind blowing story (with a touch of chinese propaganda i belive, the movie's only negetive issue)
Would you tell others to see it? If i could convince them to watch something with subtitles then yes. It's even quite possibly 'chick friendly' as it's not gory, very artistic, and has a touch of a romantic twist to it.
Rate it. (Use own scale, but tell what your scale is). 8.5/10 (-1 point for the propaganda bit)

What did you think of it? alright. well, i cried a lot. but seeing as i cry in just about every film, that means nothing.
Would you tell others to see it? I'd reccomend it, yeah
Rate it. (Use own scale, but tell what your scale is). 8/10

now i have an excuse to watch it again, because the stupid digital tv bust for the last 20 minutes of the film.

i'd give it the same score, just because i could off the top of my head think of about 10 actors that would have been better as the main character then friggin Tom Cruse. If they had changed that the movie probably would have been either a 9.5 or a 10 for me

I didnt say it had to be that particular movie.

besides...we may have still been fighting for equal rights in 1875
but we had Buffalo soldiers since about 1866.

ok guys, that Denzel thing was a joke

actually i think Val Kilmer would have been perfect, but just about anybody would have been a better choice then Tom
