Yes there isn't anything here.

Sorry have a life... kind of busy. I will be taking suggestions on how the world should be layed out, offers to help in making of maps or something like that and other things that should relate to that.

So far it has been determined that Aura is set in a FFVIIIish world where technology, magic and arcane weaponary all exist. It's set in quite a modernistic era where space travel (limited to a degree) is possible.

It consists of all types of terrain from desert to mountains.

I'm allowing the leaders of each faction to create their own base (stationary or mobile) and they will be allowed to choose it's location and it's surroundings, name of continent etc.

At the end of this planning era, posts maybe deleted for sake of tidyness. (I'm a female.... i like tidy)

so this might then be a good place to post a few words about the alkerites then.

aegyptus
The great city carved carefully into the side of the highest mountain in the south-eastern ranges of the the Zonde contenint. The sun and the surrounding sands commonly cast a pale orange hue on the city.

The architecture was influenced heavily by the mythological beliefs of the akerite people and large stone figures and glyphs are carved in many of the pillars and buildings. The city itself can actually be read and translated as it literally tells the story of the deities it honors. Very few areas of the city?s visage show the technical center it harbors.

Internally the city is a technological powerhouse with all the essential appliances and equipment to keep both its civilian and military population running quickly and efficiently. Media systems are linked thought out the veins of the city which extend through out the entire mountain. Cleverly built into and under the mountain itself, this usually remains unseen to many outsiders.

Areas of note....

The barracks the occupy positions on both the east and west wings of every level of the city. Making 6 strong battle communities each under their own title.

Wolf ? jackal (ground assault)
raven ? harpy (air force) (harpy squad is composed purely of female pilots)
viper - scarab (stealth and recon)

The arena is a giant coliseum built on one of the more level platforms of the city. Its gladiators are composed of criminals and captives who are expected to battle each other and exotic monstrosities in exchange for their freedom. And of volunteers who make the skirmish in the sand pits their way of life. Many of the top ranking officials have served some time in the arena. The battles are a much loved sport and as such are regularly televised and projected throughout the community.

The Stables. Commonly found in around or near the barracks you wont find horses or any other beasts of burden here. These are the motor pools that harbor and maintain the chariots of war. The cities cycle community is large and is reflected here along side tanks and aircraft.

The great halls extend from the center of the mountain to the exterior visage. and houses the spire where the decisions are made and the ceremonies are held.

the spire lies within the mountain itself, deep in the underground of the sections of the great halls, and serves as the figurehead command center for the mountain forte.

Some of the cities key players are...

-the Blind Prophet Uriel
Though he is blind he is still able to see energies and auras around him. at times its like he's not blind at all. he is an adviser and military strategist to the alkerite kingdom. he's skills in necromancy lead to the creation of most of the beasts the fill the arena and serve in the armed forces.

-Keket
The warrior earned a place of royalty for herself on the battlefeild. one of, if not the most deadly soldiers in the kingdom. her only regret to claiming the throne is the lack of battle. she remains oblivious to her possesion of the wind shard of the aurian jewel...but Uriel does not.

-general Horus
an ex-gladiator turned esteemed general and the second hand of Keket.

-Ozzy the undead gladiator
one of the arenas prized monstrosity created of necromancy

-the dark wolf Harbringer
at first only a pup with a kindred spirit that had adopted Keket as his master.
Now, by way of Uriel, he's transformed into a ferocious hound of abnormal size.
Harbringer serves as a protector ans fights at his masters side on the battle feild.

-scyllia the reckless harpy pilot
due to her reckless behavior she is not an officer of much rank. but due to her aerial combat skill she is the most respected and most called upon pilot in both the raven and harpy unit.

-stultus(kallus), the duel weilder
a former mercenary and criminal brand gladiator. he has issues with his cousin keket for refusing to grant him a pardon from the pits when she took power. he regained his freedom on his on merit by prooving himself worthy in the pit.

Aside from the Aegyptus mountain fort, various smaller townships under alkerite influence exist in and around the Zonde wasteland areas.
only one town serves as a far and away outpost...
the small town of Aeon wich is located far north somwhere on the deserted icey contenint of Barta.
