Jonas runs up the stairs directed to him, makes it through the door way and onto the main floor. Slidding to a quick and unsteady stop, as another tremor shudders through the ground, and a glass topped stand falls over, infront of him, shattering, the vase on display, rolling towards a piller hitting it hard taking a nice big chunck out of the top. Shrugging Jonas heads off into the room where the Parchment is supposed to be.

"I sure hope the intel is right.." Entering the room, Jonas sees it as a semi-mess, things scatter in glass cases, books knocked askew, and an old relic of a dagger, laying hilt first in the smashed glass of the parchment case, its blade pointing up at the wall. Walking up he carefully picks up the parchment, and slides it gently into his binoculars case. Shrugging, picks up the dagger, placing it in his bag so as its protected, just as another strong tremor hits knocking a wall piller to his right, where the dagger was pointing, down infront of him crushing the case that held the parchment unmoveable.

Turning and running out, he checkes his timepiece >Been in here 6 and a half mins, damn, abit too long, these tremors are comming abit fast..8 mins, good.< gets ready to climb down, bracing himself for another shake.

*over the course of the various tremors, grifter had made it to the main offices, slipped into the security room through the rather welcoming, opened door and just as the two guards glanced back to see him enter it was far too late. one took a sleeve dagger to his throat in a swift motion of his arm and threw the other he had up his other sleeve straight into the other guard's chest directly below the sternum.

as he let the gaurd to his side slip from his grasp and watched the other slump back into his chair, he took a few strides over to him as he yanked his dagger from the first guard's throat, then with a bit more strength, he pulled his other dagger out of the chest of the other guard and quickly went to work on the control systems in the security room sealing the entire building and locking it down, so nobody could get in or out by normal means. the only way out now was the tunneling system and he quickly pulled out one of his uzi pistols and used it to smash the control panels before he pulled out a small device that had a blinking red light and tossed it over to one corner of the room and quickly rushed out and headed down the corridor where he ran into another guard which he promptly took out with a three round burst to the head from his uzi pistol.

it had taken not but close to ten minutes to deal with teh security room guards, this guard and reach the otherside of the main office level where he promptly came to find the other two guards with the curator, and the person he had come to deal with. he had about another fifteen minutes all together if he did it right if he was to get out alive....

Glynn had just completed the tranferring the images of the parchment when the tremors had begun. There had not been the faintest sign of disturbance when they had left the restoree office some minutes ago. Her head was screaming alarm bells with the first faint rattling of antiquities.

"Oron, Im getting tremors here…are you?" Glynn asked as she saw the shaking displays, she bent down to pick up her shoulder bag, holding the ear piece into her ear as the reception played off.
"No…hmm yes and unexplained. Very odd since Delmar doesn’t get earthquakes, the whole city is trembling though. Want a lift home Doll? The walk to the delmar city hospital helipad to much for you?" came Oron’s voice in her ear as she deposited the digital camera into her bag and slung it about her shoulder.. His droll humors seem displaced as the second tremor hit she mused.

"Miss Meyen, I think we must evacuate the building, the guards to escort us" said the curator taping her arm..

"Why yes Curator Arnol I agree fully. The city doesn’t appear to be safe anymore. Thankyou for your hel…" her words where cut off by the sound of metal slamming shut, it echoed around her ears as she looked towards the window.
"The security system has been activated" said one of the guards in surprise. The two guards that had accompanied them for most of the morning looked at eachother then went to investigate, heading towards the door.
"Is it meant to do that in the case of an earthquake? ….Nevermind" asked Glynn as she heard the faintest sound of …gunfire? Over the sound of the tremors.
"Oron I want your ass over here now, this place is locked up tighter than Vankin vault! I think it’s trouble…" she cursed at the static that was coming throw the communicator.
"We’ve already left, approaching the museum as we speak…is there a polite way to enter?"
Glynn turned to the curator who seemed to be slightly confused with the whole preceding.
"How do we get out?"
"We inactivate the security system of course…" began the curator
"In the case that we COULDN’T!" she cried shaking him in frustration
"Well…lets see the recent evaluation by the heritage comity…"
"I just need answers!!!" hissed Glynn
"Tunnel! There is a tunnel that leads from the atrium conservatory basement to somewhere!"
"Alright COME ON!" she said grabbing the curator by the jacket to drag him out the other door headed towards the atrium.

Oron was coming, he was only minutes away with one of the helicopter crew. A copy of her findings at least making it out in time. They could probably use their firepower to open up an escape route, in the midst of the tremors the damage would appear inconsequential if she couldn’t’ reach the basement level from here.

Her thought was interrupted with the stifled sound of a mans groan, she gazed up to see a figure clad in black drop one of the guards, a pool of blood welled beneath him. Her reflection mirrored in his glasses, she quickly moved to turn away. Within a heartbeat she pushed the curator through the door and followed suite as she heard the second guard attack the mysterious new comer.

"Oron it's trouble..."

*grifter had just dropped one of the guards with a single shot and the other swiftly pulled out a stun baton trying to go for him in a rush which didn't turn out like he expected when grifter decided to take a few steps back and used his free hand to block the thrusted stun baton and gripped the guard's wrist and pulled him, leveling his uzi pistol at the man's gut and fired from point blank range sending him backwards from the force as he let go of his wrist.

just as the body slumped to the floor another tremor shook the museum and he heard an explosion from outside and what sounded like a building collapsing.

grumbling to himself for letting them slip past him like they did, grifter went over the plans of the museum that were in his head that he studied for weeks and glanced at a vent shaft opening with a smirk.

holstering his modified uzi he quickly strided to the opening, kicked it in and with a last glance around he slipped into the vent and slid down all the way to the first floor and out the opening below with a rather loud thud as he landed on the floor below.

wasting no time he dashed for the stairs that headed down to the basement and just as he reached the bottom he slid to a stop in front of the curator and woman that slipped away from him as the stepped out of the secret passage they went through. his breathing slowed from the mad dash as he stared at them both, his eyes unrelenting.

"....nothing personal...", grifter had quickly unholstered his other modified uzi holding them where they were and another tremor shook the basement and knocked over a rather large statue which grifter dodged back and away from before it could land on him. with a quick tuck and roll to his left he was at the manhole cover and just as he slipped down it, he caught a glimpse of the woman once more and tossed out as he slid down the ladder, his boots squeeking against the metal bars, "....you dug too deep."

as he landed at the bottom, he dashed down the tunnel and out where he had entered from knowing the secondary op was about to be completed. as he made for the tunnel that led to the evac site, another explosion erupted only this time from above. the museum grifter fully well knew was now consumed in flames from the fire bomb he tossed in the security room. every drop of oxygen would be consumed in flames in a matter of seconds; including the basement he hoped....

Coran's office, Valis
Coran scratched his arm as he looked at the list of names, studying them as he drank his now cold coffee. Envoys or messages had been sent and he awaited acceptances or those who declined his offer. They would arrange a meeting time once that occured.
The list was short but a highly professional bunch not to be trifled with. Such high calibre employee for such a dangerous job, but it paid well.

Delmar City Museum, Delmar
Glynn watched as the unknown man disappeared beneath the manhole, as he disappeared. She cursed her stupidity as her route of escape was taken from her. The puzzled over his words… The order, he was from the Order.
"We must follow him!" cried The curator! Pulling at her arm.
"Don’t be stupid he’ll kill us!"
The curator looked at her defiantly and moved toward the manhole.
"He seemed to be after YOU…!" and with that he went down.
A bigger tremor shock the building, Glynn fell to her feet as she heard the sound of a scream.
She got up, half wanting to avenge the blustering fool for going down but knowing it was futile from her vantage point. By man or mother nature his stupidity had led him to his death though.

"Glynn, If your not out yet we’ve blown open the atrium roof, if you can make it we have a ladder waiting, HURRY we leave in 2 minutes"
"Oron! Thankgod! I’m coming." Turning she fled the basement, sprinting and dodging the debris to the upper floor. The atrium doors where unhinged and broken and she slipped past them, plaster and stone lay everywhere and the brilliant sunlight shone through an uneven hole in the roof a skeletal ladder hovering above it. Sheltering her eyes from the dust storm that the helicopter was producing she ran for the ladder. Leaping up to grab it she pulled herself near the dome of the ceiling when she heard it. An explosion louder than any of the tremors rocked the building. Several rungs from the helicopter she felt the sudden heat wave of air propel her about, below scarlet flames had erupted and licked up against her.
"PULL OUT!!!!!" she screamed as she struggled to make it within arms reach of Oron’s hand.
Oron signalled and the helicopter went up, her feet felt like they where burning, she saw flames licked her skirts.

Pulling herself up, laying against the cold floor as Oron doused the flames on her dress.
She coughed, sitting up to look at Oron shaking her head.
"We have bigger problems than my dress."

Vankin R&D Facility, Ferlis

A Greyish figure stood on the horizon facing towards the rather bleak looking building that stood in the isolate wilderness. It was protected by high walls of concrete mounted with razor wire. Sentries where dotted along the walls with lookout towers mounted with turrents.

None inside the walls knew if this figure that loomed towards them was friend or foe, but Captain Jessolm’s gut instinct had him thinking this was no friendly neighbourhood salesman.

His orders had been strict though. no action until the figure made himself known as a foe. If that was to occur than he was to capture rather that destroy. They where only a small branch of the R&D facility but they where well manned and there weapons the state of the art with the men being drilled well in their use.

"Sir! It’s within 50 yards and is armed!" cried a voice.

Thanatos kept walking towards the concrete walls of the building. he could hear orders being barked by officers from within those walls, and he could smell fear from even experienced soldiers. he knew they saw a massive figure draped in grey slowly approaching, his large hammer held up going behind his head and resting on his shoulder. he also knew they had no idea what was truly underneath the grey robes. It didn't matter to him, however. he was just scouting out the region. seeing who and what was there. he'd been doing the same for decades upon decades. It seemed to him as though he would never be able to find the lost gems, but it seemed aven less likley that he might find somewhere, anywhere, where people where not terrified of him.

lost in thought of the gems, Thanatos subconciously rubbed the place in his gut where the blade had pierced him so many many years ago, when he had lost the gem of darkness. He soon reached the concrete walls, and then began walking around them slowly, patiently. aware that in all likleyhood every eye in the base was on him, waiting to see what he did. then he stopped. turning, he looked upon the steel reinforced concrete gate. he lifted his hammer, grabbing it near the head...

and used the other end to calmly knock on the gate.

Delmar City Tunneling System

*grifter had broken into a fast paced run down the only tunnel that led out for an escape and time seemed to flash before his own eyes as he counted down in his head how much time he had left. probably no more than three minutes if that and then, he heard a rather loud scream from the direction he had come from and knew one of the fools from the musuem had survived only to blunder over one of the mines he had set so many weeks ago. the blast was small and just barely sent a small tremor through the ground as it was consumed by an even bigger one that he very well knew was the last of the charges.

he barely reached the access ladder and noted more footprints in the dirt, hopefully belonging to clayton and as he climbed up a massive tremor shook the entire tunnel. just as he slipped out of the manhole cover and onto the street above flames shot up and out of the manhole right behind him forcing him to roll out and put flames out that had caught his left arm. as he got up the order vehicle that had been waiting pullled up to his right side, tires screeching and he saw the driver who conveniently whistled as he stared out the open window at grifter, "...hurry hurry eh captain?...wouldn't want to miss the fireworks you know."

just as grifter slid over the front hood and clambored into the passenger side, the driver floored it just as he shut the door. as the vehicle shot down the street past pedestrians, police and even what looked like a few soldiers, the massive tremor he felt was the bomb he had place directly in the tunnel that connected the museum to all the other tunnels and as he stared into the rear view mirror, he saw it slowly collapsing into the underground tunneling system and noted the effect was spreading out in a diameter heading outwards.

the driver hummed a song grifter wasn't too familiar with and noted the speed was up to a 140 as they sped closer to the safe zone in the city. grifter glanced into the backseat and nodded to mr clayton who was sitting buckled up with a nervous grin. "good to see you didn't wait for me mr. clayton.", grifter smirked slightly knowing clayton most likely kept the driver waiting at the evac point longer than he was suppose to.

Jonas nods back, ignoring the look burried in the eyes, >so what if I made him stay.. I don't leave a man behind. If I can help it..< he thinks, killing the memory there. Grabbing ahold of the 'oh shit' handle as the bounce through to the safer streets. "Hell of a Ride. What took you so long?"

Once they are on the steady streets, Jonas reaches into his bag and removes the dagger, and looks at it all over. Noticing the sharp edge, even though it is very old. Peers out the window as he hears a Helo goes past heading to the edge of the city, some symbol he can't make out on its side. Noticing it came from the direction of the musuem, and Grifter is watching it.

*grifter stared out the window after he buckled up as the car sped through the streets, taking a few seconds every now and then to glance into the rear view mirror to see more and more buildings collapsing behind them along with the streets. his attention though was centered on the helicopter overhead that was heading away from the museum. after hearing clayton's question he glanced over his shoulder into the backseat.

"oh, i had to make a few drops....guess you could say i landed on my feet running though. best way really...", grifter smirked again and went back to observing the direction the helicopter was going.

"jasper....take a right next three blocks up and get us to the northern edge of the city...", grifter glanced back to clayton again leaning over the side of his seat, "mr clayton..i presume you did get the parchment?"*

"You presume correct." Reaching into his binoculars case, he pulls out the still tied up parchment. "So one job down, one to go eh?" He says as he hands it up to Grifter.

Catches a glimps out the window, and Jasper narrowly misses, another car as he takes the corner turning right. "Any idea where are next objective is?" Takes out his canteen and take a drink.

*grifter took the parchment and placed it inside a small box sitting between the driver and passenger's seats and sealed it shut before he glanced out the window and gripped the 'oh shit' handle as jasper narrowly sped around a truck that had stalled in the road and then around an oncoming vehicle aswell almost sidesiping it, still humming his song with a grin plastered to his face.

grifter stared momentarily at jasper and noted a semi glaze to the man's eyes almost as if he was getting off on the speed and shook his head at the rather semi crazed man.

"mr clayton, if you really wish to proceed in aiding futher, you have to understand....you were only being paid for the first op. you want to help with finishing the other, i can't garuantee when or if you'd get paid for that one...oh, that reminds me....", grifter reached into the glove compartment and pulled out an manila envelope and tossed it back into clayton's lap.

"...that'd be the rest of your money. also, there's an added bonus too...i kinda figured a man of your stature would want to help out further, so consider that a...downpayment for your services", grifter finished with a slight smirk just as jasper slowed enough to make a sharp turn then another to head north once more as he avoided running over a few pedestrians.
