Each guyver has a new colour scheme and design.

Guyver 3 is purple and has more spikes and dual elbow vibroblades.

If only you had sound, this mash up is very good and the choices for each character, pretty good for movement in places.

hey look its one of those cool ass doors.

in the final vid I think i'll start out looking at a door, then the switch will turn green and the door will open. then the Hero will run thru the doorway, puase, look around and run off.

so thats scene 1.

now to figure out scene 2

I probably didnt need too, but a made a door skeleton to rig this to.

I finally got around to those bracers.

They're fairly plain looking, but I fear a more radical design might just look odd.
As they are now they kinda blend in with everything and i like that.
but I still may play with them later.

Presented in what I think was the player 2 palette swap, So it doesn't look so much like the previous post.

Just gotta get the helmet and boots textured now and then I'll working on cleaning up the textures a bit.

could be a great arcade type shooter.

I thought about making a website featuring "the game that never was"
last night I was playing with camera constraints again and I figured out how to emulate a 3rd person game cam perfectly

the next video i make will probably show it off, as well as a run cycle

Thats exactly what I did.

moved the hue slider to 180 in XSI. the original image is still unchanged.

That launcher is gonna need skinning.
I based it on the quake 3 rocket launcher, I dunno if i want to go as far as red and silver tho.

Envelop weights need polishing.

Going to have to refine those thick lines on the skin, bake them less noticable but still have them work as borders

Its a start on one of those Saw things.
Those things really just didn't make sense to have around a prison, unless their were some kinda tool for digging out new areas for the facility.

Was it underground?

anyway...
I changed the looks of back end of if drastically.
I looked at it close in game, and it it looked simple to model, but to be honest I didn't understand what the fuck i was looking at. much less how it propelled it self forward.

So I just inserted my own idea, and made the back end look something like a that of a machine you'd see at a construction site.

The object name of it in the editor is ROB1.
no idea what that means, So I'll just call it the "RobSaw"

the game it self didn't make a great deal of sense story wise, plus their are two conflicting storylines dependant on where you read it.

I first came in contact with the ingame story, so thats the one I take is canon.
besides...its ingame.

It didn't make make a lot of sense. it seemed more like a starting point.

But at the core, its pretty much Resident evil.

Scientists make a deadly virus, it gets out into the population, people start turning into monsters yaddah yaddah yaddah.

I had considered writing something up again.
but nothing as neatly in place as a story. just large bits of info that fill in the blanks.

no need to change the name there.

I know I've started a bunch of different things and haven't finished any of them. but if i go at it one at a time, I'll get bored and just quit.

I cheated here, I pulled most of it out of the Player body and just reshaped up.
its still got a good bit to go anyway. by the time its done the relation wont even be noticeable. hopefully he looks Tank enough.


I found something very interesting and maybe even a little confusing...

I used the web archive to look at the main Abuse website before it died.

1. I found out exactly why the team fell apart on the A3. some of the forums still work.

The source code, artwork, and shareware levels (1-4) are public domain.? This means you are free to copy, sell, or modify it with no restrictions.? To get this point across you can do the following:



1. You can write a book about games and include the data on CD with the book.? Some people have done this already.
2. You can put the data on a FTP or web site without asking permission to do so.? People have done this many times as well.
3. You can make your own game based off of the Abuse source and artwork and sell it as your own.? As noted below you can?t call the game Abuse or Abuse 2 because the name is trademarked.

Data that is not public domain:

1. The sound effects in Abuse are owned by Bobby Prince (contact http://bpmusic.com)[/url]. Since we do not own them we cannot make them public domain, but you should not have a problem using them in most cases. Besides they are 8bit 11khz, games these days are expected to have higher quality.
2. The levels with commercial Abuse (4+) are not public domain. We did not make them public domain because some stores are still selling the game.
