actually i have been debating on wether or not to call it a squid, spider, or somthing else. its actually more of a donkey thing tho.
"The jester's pointed hat, or asses' ears came from the practice of fools wearing real jackass ears on their hats and a jackasses' tail, these three points evolved into the common three-pointed hat that many fools wore. The asses ears became the jester's hat of office."
I just finished a version thats, solid, function wel, and has all 6 ears working together.
unfortunatly my PC refuses to let me take a shot of it at the moment, and a video would be a bit too much.

yay Screenshots.
debating on giving the hat a name all its own.
The hat is essentially the visual equivalent of spawns cloak. its not sentient or anything, but it is a big framing piece and a tool to guide the veiwers attention into certain directions, and also help to communicate or accent specific moods.

At first glance from that last shot, it looked like you had some kind of tentacle thing going on. But I guess that's not what you're aiming for.

It sort of reminds me of Medusa and her hair in a way.
Though predominately i got reminded of the Heartless in Kingdom Hearts.
But it's cool either way
