see now, i would have thought girls would be more difficult since they have all those curves and stuff, where as guys are more rough and angled.

It's easy to draw curves, for me anyway. I rencently invested in one of those feminine and masculine dummies. They have different proportions according to gender and it makes drawing abit easier. They are small and are fixed to a post so there's not trying to stand em up. I got both (man and woman) for a discount in my local art shop.
