What are you listening to?

From those killer tunes that you heard 6 years ago in the back of a mini bus, heading into Utah, or the songs that are on the radio now. This is the place. (No R&B please, because it doesn't exist)

haters say what you will but I kinda like this.

I was apprehensive, but it came on the radio and I started rockin' out to it this morning on my way to work...

Ehhh, nah....Doesn't work out for me. Just isn't my cup of tea, and I haven't been expecting much out of the band for years now.

The only song on there I find appealing somewhat is "My Apocalypse". It's got a bit of thrashy element in the song's riffs, and a familiar-sounding solo in it towards the end. Other than that, they're beginning to sound more and more main-stream as age and sobriety takes it's toll...but I'll give them this -- when they play their old shit live still, it's still fucking epic. But still -- I'll buy the album. Just 'cause it's fuckin' Metallica.

Metallica - Jump In The Fire

I didn't get a choice because my Mum told me she bought it for me. I didn't have the heart to tell her I'd moved on but I was still thinking about getting it anyway. Haven't got my hands on it yet but from what little I've heard, it seems okay. I don't agree with what people are saying about it being a return to the old style. Metallica was so much more than just playing fast.

Even at that, too - from what I've heard it's really not even fast, lol. After I listened to some of the songs and Amon Amarth came on next, I thought for a moment I shifted to Ultimate Speed Metal because of the previous temp.

Someone put a Drum-Pad on Lars' set, too - him bashing spatulas and rolling pins on a drum set is drowning the fuck out of the rest of the music, really.

Amon Amarth - Embrace of the Endless Ocean ( New Album, by the way. D: )

Megadeth - A Tout le Monde

Don't remember where I was
I realized life was a game
The more seriously I took things
The harder the rules became
I had no idea what it'd cost
My life passed before my eyes
I found out how little I accomplished
All my plans denied

So as you read this know my friends
I'd love to stay with you all
please smile when you think of me
My body's gone that's all

A tout le monde [To all the world]
A tout mes amis [To all my friends]
Je vous aime
Je dois partir
These are the last words
I'll ever speak
And they'll set me free

If my heart was still alive
I know it would surely break
And my memories left with you
There's nothing more to say

Moving on is a simple thing
What it leaves behind is hard
You know the sleeping feel no more pain
And the living all are scarred

A tout le monde [To all the world]
A tout mes amis [To all my friends]
Je vous aime
Je dois partir
These are the last words
I'll ever speak
And they'll set me free

So as you read this know my friends
I'd love to stay with you all
Please smile, smile when you think about me
My body's gone that's all

A tout le monde [To all the world]
A tout mes amis [To all my friends]
Je vous aime
Je dois partir
These are the last words
I'll ever speak
And they'll set me free
X2

Metallica - The Unforgiven III

I'm liking the album is general but especially this one. It's not fast or anything but it's good. I always was a fan of the Unforgiven tracks.

I just can't believe they did a third one.

Ozric Tentacles - Sploosh! [Youth and Simon's Hydrophonic Decimation]

It's like trance mixed with rock, aka psychedelic!
