Punk

From those killer tunes that you heard 6 years ago in the back of a mini bus, heading into Utah, or the songs that are on the radio now. This is the place. (No R&B please, because it doesn't exist)

I mean no offense to any of you who like The Sex Pistols, but they were just puppets used to create an image. Punk wasn't supposed to be about getting fucked up, or looking different, or whatever. It was about people who were fed up with the way things were and wanted to make a change. It had real meaning. That died a long time ago, though.

I suggest you check out Crass, Zounds, Poison Girls, The Mob, Rudimentary Peni.

Any of the above will give you some idea of what I'm trying to convey to you.

I could be wayyyy off, though.

here here,

and it's because good carlotte isn't really punk

very few modern bands really are, most punk bands are a sort of hybrid punk, like punk fused with emo, or pop, or rock. Something of that sort.

the only time i'm ever gonna use my hand to make noise in reference to Brittney Spears it's gonna be a smack across her desiese ridden face

and i'll defend the Beasty Boys because even if what they did wasn't exactly musical progress to some people, and even if you don't like it, it was still groundbreaking original music.
