I'm actually more than tired of kung fu and martial arts flicks.
I enjoy them as much as the next guy.
but on the rare occasion that a fight scene breaks out and neither fighter has been trained in any decipline aside from the school of survival(aka self preservation) im much more pleased.
I think we seem to have forgotten what fighting is all about.
its not about fighting styles and and showboating special attacks and flips and moves.
its a lot simpler than that.
its about kicking ass.
unfortunaly I cant seem to think up a movie that demonstrats that well enuff.
the only "style" is really enjoy is that fuax military style. where its only improvment over a good scrap is that now they user knows how to break somthing more efficiently.
its like how they teach you to shoot a gun....you already know how. they just teach what part to aim for.

jet li,whilst showing off, still knows how to kick your ass,and he shows it in all the films i seen, except maybe the one,Romeo must die,the scene on the stairs,
the second and third matrix films, hmmmm, they were "good" to the point of the story line, and the special effects were good too, they were just rushed,it showed, the first film was great, the best, and had time taken on it
iunno if these two count
blade 1 and exit wounds...steven segal is a good fighter, for films, and wesly snipes, well, blade still makes me smile as i watch it
