of course

Despite the fact that Unicron can only be destroyed by the matrix... (cause he said so... and who's gunna question giant transforming planet-eating planet) he's made of metal, and the thing about the laser is it's suppose to pierce a plant's crust and hit the core making the planet explode. The laser probably couldn't pierce Unicron like that, and his core wouldn't make him explode, because it's not there.

you raise a decent point, but don't forget, the death star can blow up ships too, and grimlock managed to pierce unicron. I'm not saying that means it will work for certain, but its gonna at least hurt him a tad.

Where you make a good point as well, the ships are far smaller than Unicron, and Grimlock user force, not super concentrated light

None of the transformers lasers seem to hurt him, but even if this laser could, it would take more than one shot to defeat him, and he could eat the moon sized base before it got the chance to fire often, and the laser can't hit highly maneuverable things... so if he was in robot mode, I suspect he could avoid most if not all the blasts

well, I was just asking about survival, but combat ability could spur a tangent discussion. and what if the deathstar were to fire right as unicron tried to eat hit.

But Unicron had the ability to grown, and reconfigures other transformers... I suspect that Unicron had nanonites that feed off the energy from the planets he ate.

So any damage he got form the Death Star would heal itself with time. I simply don't think the Death Star is a match for him
