i was zapping around when something caught my attention:
a bald japanese between two vicars who were supposed to drink a cup of tea as fast as possible.
followed by a competition between a man and a dog. who would pick up the stick first?
having to discover which of the 5 girls lined up against a wall was in fact a cross-dressed boy was especially fun as well.

man! i've just become a "banzai!" fan!!!
it says it's from channel 4. i take it's a brittish thing then?

all bets are overo!!! BANZAAAAAI!

tis a kick ass japanese game show sorta thing, random japanese folk do random and stupid tasks, like trying to pole vault onto a mat, thats floating in a rather oversized puddle, or crossing a bridge thing thats being shook whilst your having balls fired at you, all good fun

and its on erm...damn, what channel....

I've watched both of them occasionally. Very funny. According to my brother, Takeshi's Castle is shown on Challenge and Trouble. And Craig Charles (Lister in Red Dwarf) does the commentary for Takeshi's Castle.

Takeshi's Castle is called Most Extreme Elimination Challenge in the states.

And they have voice overs for everything. Hilarious.
