me2.
they even used the "iiIiiIII aamm iiI-ron mann" part of the song.
all is right in the world.
seriously
they DID NOT tuse tom cruise or clooney.
they DID use an Adi Granov based armor design.
and the DID use Ozzy
they DID NOT expend his core villian in the first movie
They DID get Sam Jackson as Nick Fury
they just about covered all the bases here really.

I loved how they used Silver Surfer as an example of a pirated movie.
"If you pirate this movie, the picture quality may be poor..."
"No, it's just a shit film anyway."
Not that I even wasted my time seeing it.

FF4
Sue seemed really bitchy and unrealistic "wahhhh....I want a normal family life"
Dr. Doom on a surfboard was just fucking ridiculous.
And they still failed to fix his gay voice. he really served no purpose in the movie at all except to extend the film length.
and for fuck sake! why do they insist on having him walk around all mask less and normal and shit? that makes the whole entire point of even having a mask Null.
somebody please direct the writers/directors to the nearest comic shop and educate these fools. because the character in the movies doesnt even remotely have anything in common with the original Dr.Doom
As for the tier of super hero movies this will be...
Its not gonna be like either of the previously mentioned movies...I hope.
The character really doesn't allow for as much cheese as other heroes do.
Starks powers aren't gained through some abnormal or magical means or anything.
Matter of fact he has no powers at all.
Actually come to think of it, Iron Man will probably relate more to... Batman.
You have an older guy instead of a youthful one, who uses knowledge and science to make gadgets to do cool shit.
however, it will hardly be as dark as Batman.
but in the absence of darkness you will probably get a lot of political commentary.( or propaganda)
Iron man has always been at its best during these kinds of issues, They give him great opponents.
the Vietnam war and the "Yellow Peril" yields his core villain the Mandarin.
The US/Russia cold war and the "Red Scare" gives us the Crimson Dynamo
and Internal Government politics gives us his fight with Captain America.(I hope his movie is very political as well...it just has to be)
aside from that Iron man is very heavily Military.
unlike most heroes, Iron man is not usually opposed to War.
(ps. the new Hulk film will rock, but maybe not as much as Thor....unless they hire Tripple H.)

I actually enjoyed rise of the silver surfer. I never really liked the cartoons anyway so I don't know the characters all too well, but I thought the film kept great pace as far as story and action went. James atleast watch something before you call it shit. It wasn't great but it did exactly what it said on the tin.
And I still can't believe how some people didn't enjoy the Hulk. They really went into the characters in that film, and it wasn't trying to be arthouse that's just ridiculous. It was just pushing something different in mainstream cinema, which is always good in my book.
I'm looking forward to Ironman, but I always saw Timothy Dalton as my ideal Tony Stark. But he is getting on a bit now. If I was going to pick a marvel film I'd like this to be similar to, it would be the first X-men film if anything.
Just pray it isn't a real piece of shit like Daredevil or Punisher.
