if your talking about The Wolfman from, like 1946 or w/e, I have it but always decide to try and watch it late at night and I fall asleep.
Same thing happened with that Romasanta werewolf, I'd wake up to him howling and be freaked out for ages.

Was a very interesting show, kinda fluffy imo but him being all cut up and shit was cool.
I found it strange that the beta animal didn't rise to alpha in his absence, but instead the other wolf who held a lowerish rank than that before came above, the Beta. I wish he'd went into more detail as to why that is.

dude gave up his family and the video made that look like dedication... I'd call that insanity. Takes all kinds i guess.
Seriously though, he lost his partner and 4 kids to run around with wolves for a couple of years? I mean, as cool as what he did was, I'd hardly say leaving 4 kids with a single parent makes him a hero...

I'm pretty sure, from the way he mentions it, that it was his wife that left him, although understandable given the fact that he was living with wild animals 24/7. People go away for tonnes of reasons, jobs are most commonly, often take people away from their families for weeks and months. He seemed to be known locally, so I suspect that he did spend some time away from his research.
It's not a field of research most people go into, wolves for all their folklore and level of noterity are not heavily studied. Even this was in captivity, because they have a large range in the wild, the dude on the video at Yellowstone admitted that the guy's research on Howling was pretty innovative.

If you've ever seen a TV program like "It's me or the dog" the woman on there teaches people how to behave with their dogs, and pretty much you need to be their pack leader. Most misbehaving dogs are that way because they see themselves higher in rank than their owner. Wolves may not be dogs, but dogs are still wolves.kaos wrote:sounds kinda easy to do after you understand that domestic dogs typically look at their owners as pack leaders.
Just watched wolfman on youtube, very good I thought. It was a really interesting watch. It's good to see how his research could actually help both people and wolves. A lot of animal studies really make you wonder what's the point of it.
