I was just wondering what everybody thinks will be the next big hit for people outside of Japan in the world of anime. As of the moment, I'm thinking it could either be Samurai Champloo (done by the same people who did Cowboy Bebop!), or Naruto (if it gets translated). What do you guys think?

Dunno my anime watcher guy has been rabbiting on about some show called bleach.

I don't think anything will top Macross Zer0 for a while atleast in term of graphics it's just vastly superior to everything else around ... now If they could have only had A. More episodes (without a 5 month production time) and B. a storyline worthy of the graphics

Naruto sounds likely, considering the amount of rabid fans the thing already has...

Naruto got licnesed a few month ago. it's on it's way.

Samurai Champloo, that was pretty interesting. the first episode. but it looks like it may be better to buy the DVD with all the violence in it. CN probally edited a lot out.

Yeah, I noticed that when I was watching that. Seems like they showed a lot of the violence, but they did bleep a few words. It's a very edgy, smart anime, and I think it might be even end up being better than Cowboy Bebop. I can't wait to see what's on TV in Japan when I go there this summer ...
