that is the order of when they where published actually.

the nephew tale is the orgin story and in itself not all that important.

Much like a Horse and his boy, it involves non of the kids from LW&W who become pivitol to the world and history of Narnia. I assume much like the creators of the BBC series they just skipped those ones as they are harder to relate to and much more fantasy, I'll be interested if they do Last battle as that's some fairly epic shit.

when you get any of the books it has a list of all the other books that go in the series in the first couple pages.

yeah, but my point was that any kid who picks up LionWitch would see the chrono organixed list.

which would compeletly eliminatr any confusion that may be caused by the ordering of the films

yeah, I guess but nothing of great importance really happens in books 1 and 3.

1 is the creations story but explaining that almost ruins the suspension of belief like a magican showing you how the trick was done, it's also hugely religous and I doubt it would go down well, it's kinda preachy. Thinking about agiant he end is a loose approxamation of Gensis

Book3 is like soo WTF? it does nothing but confirm the fact that Aslan has influence outside of Narnia and is a reminder that all Gods, that are not he are false.

Neither would make good films.

most of the book sets released have them in chronological order, which pisses me off. I thought the way Lewis wrote them originally was much better. Allows for suprises.
