don't you folks watch any classics? am i the only one here that extracts genuine pleasure from watching a hitchcock? and i'm not even getting to them artsy movies yet.

i watched hitchcooks 39 steps which i still think is quite something. I read the book and all. But in my own collection i dont really have many classics i think the oldest one i have is Stand By Me

i watched Children of the Corn last night

it's kinda classic

Also Jaws and Alien are classic movies in my book

let's see.. uh, that's all that comes to mind at the moment. Guess i'm in a horror sort of mood. Probably 'cause you started by talking about good 'ole Alfie

Vertigo was indeed a work of art, better than almost all the films they come out with in this day

but i wouldn't say it's straight up sci-fi, the director obviously wanted to scare the shit out of you.
