i was caught a bit off guard by this movie, by the fact that it didnt suck. when my friend wanted me to go see it i thought "Keanu Reeves? I dont know, hes not...hes not good"
but actually the movie was done fairly well and reeves didnt suck too much. any other thoughts?

I'm renting it, not watching it in theaters. i'll let you know in a few months.

I fell asleep while watching it yesterday but in the movies defense it was like 2am at the time and I was dog tired

No, I disagree. It fucking SUCKED.

It's accuracy in terms of catholcism weren't bad and all. The twist towards the end was predictable, the secondary characters weren't effective to give the poignancy they wanted to in the end. It felt half finished and gaudy. It was end of days meets the Matrix but without the fantastic representation of Evil and devoid of Reeves's usually good delivery of dry humour.

Rachel Weise wasn't that great in it either.

The graphics where good but not enough to hide the flaws in the actual movie's plot. The plot itself wouldn't of been so bad had the character developement gone somewhere meaningful.

havent seen it, and after that I dont really want to.

I believe its based on a comic book series. I havent read the series either.
but I'm willing to bet the movie flaws come from trting to adapt a not widely known ongoing comic book title into a movie.

had it been a more popular book, the flaws in characters might have been over looked becuase you'd already have some idea of the characters already.

the other reason it probably sucked....origin story treatment can make or break comic2movie, and in most cases they break.

I stayed up last night to watch it, though I did drift off in the middle there, it was kinda interesting but hardly worth the hype for what ti's worth I though reeves did an Alright job for once, giving satan the finger .. was very funny

i saw it twice, the second time wasnt my fault. Its an alright movie i dont think i will get the dvd. There was some moments which i give a lil laugh as what the wolf said, when he gave Satan the finger. But to the comic, its not really that good for the simple reason that is not the charather was suppose to be english and some other lil flaws.

Tho the flaws did show at times. I'm maybe wrong on some of them but the lass was wearing the wrong cross ... silly but i dont know it annoyed me

I seen it last friday with my girlfriend and i thought it was a decent movie but she didn't like it for some reason :unsure:
