Well, I didn't get much farther past getting Tifa and Barret.. got really bored with it. And haven't been bored enough to pick it back up.

True comparing the graphics between 6 and 7 might not be fair.. but neither is comparing their magic systems. 6 totally had a better way to learn it. Magicite! Equip one, it has certain magic spells associated with them which you learned, depending on the rate. Plus depending on what one you had equipped, when you leveled you'd get better HP or MP or other status things would increase, not alot but enough, and then it was based on what your current one was.

Where as with materia.. you had to have it equipped. If you wanted that spell, and if you didn't well.. no one had it. Total suck.

Maybe if I get totally wasted or lose a bet I'll play this game again. Who knows.

Magicite made it too easy. I like a challenge. Materia was still fairly easy though. The Draw/Junction system is a fucking bastard.

not that easy. most things were x1 - x3, and then most battles gave you 1 - 5 points.

You were lucky when you got the x10 rates, but by that time you'd have that spell learned by all your guys. Heck the stronger spells were harder to find and slower to master. Took killing a Cactrot in the second half of the game, or another monster in the first half to get good magic points.

And I'm not familiar with which game that Draw system is in.

I also found more story behind the Magicite than the Materia.

C'mon, dead espers which you could summon once per battle to kick some serious ass. Who wouldn't love that. :D
