That statement is false, you definately dont need a golden chocobo to get Vincent, you need the submarine or the airship (i think) to get to Lucrecia though. From memory all you need to do is be able to get to the spiral staircase in Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim, in order to do that you need to unlock the safe in the mansion and defeat the monster and obtain the key. Then you wake up vincent...or have him jump out of the coffin can't remember which, answer the questions in the right sequence, leave, he follows you, you talk to him again and he joins you.

I can't remember what disk you first go to Shinra Mansion in but you can do it whenever.

I thought it was disc one thanks Mik.

I like FF: VII AC the way it is, if you where going to go for a more 'anime' feel then why not just fucking make it an anime then :P Though there attempt at cartoons was pretty poor.

I liked FFVIII's level of 'realism' in the way the characters looked or even FFX. Spirits within's design was really nice it's just a pity the story wasn't fantastic. I kind of dont like the path that they took Tifa's Concept...it just doesn't feel right... she looks a bit to chubby where as Sephiroth is a little to sallow (though i get where they are probably going with that).

If they ever DID redo FFVII I would want it to be in the design of Kingdom Hearts I really loved the way they did the characters in that.

but yeah... I'm all for the anime look and against making it look real.

I hate what they've done with AC because they are trying to make it look realistic...

fuck that
In their defense, it's probably damn near impossible to get that anime look to look right in CG. If it were a traditional animated film then yes, i could see your gripe, but i just don't know how they could do it. It ends up looking like an anime / CG hybrid, which to me is close enough.

I just hope it does better then 'spirits' did.

anime doesnt neccessarily mean out of proportion bodies and ridiculous facial features. FF8 was very close to anime just not as close as FF7
