I'm pretty sure the game is at least good, and leaps and bounds better than its predecessors.

I'll have much more respect for the bad reviews than any candy coated hype flavored good ones.
at least the bad ones would be worth learning where to improve.
GTA4
I got it Tuesday, the special edition cause am a geek XD I havent been impressed with the last couple releases, i mean there alright but nothin to say amazing over. But i thought this time Rockstar had to pull something out there asses this time with Saints Row on there back.
I thing the game is good and i like some of the lil new features but i've only played a few missions and tryin to get into the game. But its far from prefect. The car handling got better but its still just alright i think crackdown had the best car handing roaming world game lol or whatever u want to call it again. Like i said they added some silly features which i think makes it feel more life like, like travelin in a taxi i mean the small things eh but theres nothin that major thats so wow about it. I do agree with u on all the hype i was sick of everyone going on and on about it and how its gonna be one of the best games for a long long time and shit. I will say its probaly been my best game for a while but a while is a couple of months for me lol.

Toshi has been playing it... he's somewhat addicted. But he doesn't think it's perfect. The little touches he loves, like how the glass gets dirty and the imprint of windscreen wipers is on there, the paint job difference on the cars if you get them fixed, the storyline in his opinion is better and the move from mayhem and uncontrolled violence and more choice....and less rampaging.... but then i think he's just channelling Mass Effect with his ranting about that. He say's he plays it as he would an RPG.
The tv channels are pretty funny, the Caberet shows are so so.
The attention to detail is impressive i'll say that.
But then.... he pretty muched ignored me on thursday afternoon whilst he was playing it for a good deal of time.... so that minus's at least 1 star in my rating books.

Yeah, the stories from the GTA3 series were generally cliche plots represented by cutscenes of characters with flappy arms. Not hard to improve on at all.
The GTA series is one of those games I enjoy most by finding the daft faults in them. In GTA3 my favourite thing was jumping on a car, shooting down once at it and seeing how long I can stay on the roof of a car desperately trying to race away from me. A kind of carsurfing/joyriding hybrid.

everyone is quick to point fingers at the 360 for shit like this.
but I just got the system back not too long ago AND.
I bought Lost Oddessey on the same day and it plays just fine.
so its somthing about GTA if its not a bad disc or a bad unit.
