I tried going online with a silver account earlier and it told me I couldn't, I needed a gold account. That's why I paid for another year about 2 hours ago.

I dont have the problem but matt i dont see the problem with silver i was able to get demos and everything i just cant play games. I mean i downloaded the new Forza 2 demo the other day.

Well, Dave. I used a gamertag for my other live account. The gold sub on that was a trial and was automatically downgraded to silver. Whenever I tried to connect to XBL or go to the marketplace, it said I needed a gold account.

It wasn't a problem, I was just trying to access the MSN update, which obviously needed a gold sub, too.

very werid then cause i got all my updates and demos through silver. I only had a gold account done one, and that was to play Crackdown online. But it ended a good while ago.

before my Video went dead I was using MSN on my silver account.
