they keep a BC list up on xbox.com

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardco...tygameslist.htm

bookmark that.
they update it everyonce in a while.

the list is odd. lots of good ones on it, but their always seems to be somthing really good missing.

I wouldn't trade away all your games. Supposedly they are going to have all of the old XBox games running on the 360 by April. Dunno about that date exactly, but i do know that they have said several times that eventually every XBox game will be playable on the 360.

Yeah, I caught that bit. By "all" I mean the ones I don't want anyway. I'm keeping the "keepers"

Now, I've played a bit of Gears of War on a normal T.V. I wasn't that blown away, but my mate who owns this 360 isn't the most enjoyable person to talk about videogames with. So I wavered interest in the sake of sanity. It seemed alright, but is it going to be one of those I've finished with in under a week?

What games do you think are good and have some alright replay value?

Dont think games in the sense of you beat it your done on xbox360
lots of them have a pretty good online mode, and then theirs content extentions aswell.

that said. Try out all the demos
and rent a few.

theirs a handfull of big games ones dropping this year.

use xbox live to spy on your friends and see what theyre playing the most.

I think I'm going to have about 13 days of X-Box Live Gold from my XBL subscription. God bless using a free 2 month trail, THEN subscribing.

Shin2k35 is my username. I've not been online in about a year or something stupid. Are most demos free to download?

I'm trading in my old XB (resisted temptation to turn it into some super linux server sort of thing) and those games for the 360. It's about £309/319 for like the full console and 2 games, so, I'm wondering which are worth getting.

Thinking about fucking off my PS2 and trading that in, as well. Same place I'm going to was doing a thing with the gamecube as well, trade that in adn get some reduced price on the Wii. So I may end up with a Wii too, then either use my stepdads PS2 or just wait for the PS3.

all demos are free
they wouldnt be demos otherwise.

you can do just about everything with a silver account accept play online.
but you can get 3 months added to your gold service for like $15

2 games eh?
what're your two favorite genres?

I like all sorts of stuff. FPS's, good ones, not one's like Black and such. Adventure games (Ratchet and Clank and Jak sort of games) Nothing wrong with a good RPG these days. RTS's, but I'm not keen on them on consoles. The need for a mouse is overwhelming. Fighting Games are cool, but I can't seem to like any other than Tekken. Racing games, but not Need for Speed, Midnight Club or Project Gotham (Leaves a lot left :D)

I'm picky but not fussy. In that I'll play anything, but don't have to like it.

I have my eye on that FarCry for the 360. Gears of War was one of those games in the "pick X games" part. I'm just not up to date on 360 games.

DOA-X2?

LMAO

Unless someone stole my account, you're joking. I haven't even played that one. Played the first one for a couple of days, but once you get past the boob factor, there's not really much game there to hold your interest.

If you like Gears, in concept, you might enjoy Rainbow 6: Vegas. It's small squad based like Gears, but with a lot more tactical aspects.

meh, for me it's a little like Gears with some of the fun factor traded for tactical skill. There's some really amazing stuff in gears that's lacking in games like R6 because it just wouldn't fit the genre (stuff like a chinsaw bayonet.) Meanwhile, having to manipulate your squad's every move like you do in R6 woulc totaly kill the momentum in a game like Gears.

I find a lot of fun factor inside of tactical skill.

It's a fair trade. I'm just saying that there's something about sticking a gernade to a locust's ass, or carving one in half with a chainsaw, or curb stomping an enemy after you've shot out their knees. You can't do that in R6.
