WTF is going on?

in the last 2 months Japans has
1. Bought a shit load of 360's
2. invaded my xbox live sessions and kicked me out of a few games. (Shooters mind you)
3. bought out copies of Gears of war
4. made Gears of war a top ten game
5. today, SQUARE ENIX, buys a license for the unreal engine.

WTF?

Only because with the amount of absolute HORSE SHIT that comes out there, when something decent comes along it looks REALLY good. Keep in mind that Japan usually doesn't create things, but it takes them and makes them even better . . . and China doesn't create things either . . . but just pirates them and makes copies named by them of course.

I'm still waiting to see the NPD or whatever it's called with total sales of Xbox systems in Japan as compared to the PS3/PS2, and Wii. Perhaps the Blue Dragon game is helping though . . . also the short supply of Wii's, DS', and PS3 probably have people thinking "what the hell, the 360 is sooo cheap and has the HDDVD add on . .. why not?

I read that theyd hit 10 million sold somtime this month

they ad planned to do it in december but they missed the mark by a week or so.

as for japan.
considering past record. its on a different scale.
if they sale enough to where japanese players are noticible online...thats a shit shitload.
sure its small compared to the other systems over there. however atleast time theyre on the map.

I believe last word from Microsoft was that they met their 10 million 360 shipment goal for the end of last year. That's shipment though.

Oh, me neither :P It's just all the films churned out these days end up being a bit shit. The 1990's seems to have been the best of hollywood so far :D

the only thing ive even heard about out of thai land are Tony Jaa Films

and while theyre good action flicks...
I wouldnt exactly call them great films overall.

I do like that they tend to be 70% fighting though.

Speaking of Tony Jaa.
He needs to play a badguy.

Jet Li was at his best as a badguy.
