Hehehe.
so looking at some of the stuff surronding the game. This of all things turned out to be one of the major issues.

the homophobes are against the idea of the character completely
and the actual gay gamers take a offense to this stereotypical character

I personally think its funny.
cant help but wonder if im a little wrong for thinking it tho.
I think I can see the angle theyre coming from.
I have to admit, Barret's character really disgusted me at first.
but i think that in the end if rather have him tere holding up the stereotype rather than not having him at all.

tho barret my actually be a bad example. as he did turn out to be one of the better black characters ive seen. especially by the end of the game.

anyway, I dont think its going to stop me from enjoying the game if i do pick it up, and it might even make it more enjoyable. if nothing else I think its refreshing to even see an openly gay and male character in a video game.

Marna thinks it looks really funny. I dunno, I can't decide. It's so bad!! But then again, sometimes having a stereotyped character ain't so bad. The music didn't help.

I think homophobia is a daft term, I don't think anyone is frightened by people being gay except conspiracy nuts that are conviced the goverement is putting gay in the water supply to population control but those guys are fucking nuts.

It's not like Arachaphobia.

I don't really have a problem with an openly gay character, now any kiss scenes or whatever would make me somewhat uncomfortable but not due to fear more out of disgust although a fairly harsh word, I just don't wanna see that kinda stuff kk thanks.

However, I do think it is a fairly stereotypical display, which does annoy me, simply because the stereotypical gay guy does prance around and shriek like a banshee every 13 seconds, this behaviour in any life form would irrate me.

just found out the game extends its battle system to an online multiplayer mode.
party versus party.

Im definatly getting it.

battle system is odd tho. its like a cross between traditional FF and FFT.

btw: the gay guy is not the main character. just a supporting cast member.

Squall was a cool character, even if he was gay, which him chasing after Rinoa all the time kinda disproves, he aleast isn't a limp wristed waste of space like the character in this game.
