Are you guys kidding me? How could you possibly sleep through the Sony press conference. It was simply pure comedic gold.

Ok, I'll admit it. I almost fell asleep during the half hour Gran Turismo HD demonstration. To me, that whole conference screamed of "Well, we don't really have anything to show, so let's fill up the time with as much useless crap as possible. Half hour discussion of how great the PS2 is? Check. 15 minutes devoted to the PSP? Check. 5-10 minutes of a video of random people from different countries scripted to talk about how excited they are about the PS3? Check." I could go on.

And while this may seem like a cardinal sin, I have not yet watched the Nintendo conference. Perhaps I'll do that tomorrow. I did get the news I wanted from it though. Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, and Zelda Wii. That in and of itself is enough.

The PSP guy was my favourite part of the Sony conference, he was very enthusiastic about Ridge Racer.

you know what's great? i can see people going into the Play Station booth, TURNING AROUND, and then going to the Nintendo booth. That's just rich.

As I had said on FC they wanted to make the name different because different names get more attention (i.e google, yahoo, etc etc so on a so forth)....So hopefully the nintendo wii gets the attention cause of the different name, and I hear it's really going to be good too...I don't really care to much about the ps3 as of right now

as pleased as i am with nintendo right now. I doubt the name had much to do with the success.

they could have called it NES 5 and it'd still be king of the hill

shit, is is the 5th console from them isn't it? They should have done that just for postarity. I mean here are consloes cranking out their second or third generation, and Nintendo is in their 5th. That's quite impressive seeing as how many other systems have come and gone, or simply been stillborn.
