Halo 2 - Tied for the game below this one for providing the best online console experience ever. You can quote me on this.

....DIE !!!!

Halo 2 has to be one of the Worst 'excuse' for an FPS in the history of games, the only reason it even succeded was because of retards and the fact that is virtually unapposed as all FPS on console and that are based for multiplatform work fucking suck.

Over 50% of the games you listed wehre sequels .... sequels, I admittedly quiet liked RE4 but it is a tired format and they still haven't fixed the woeful camera work, it's moveable which is about the only saving grace, targeting with a console control is still nightmare.

My point is these games are relying on the brand to seel product rather than making great game content.

Id say their was nothing wrong with Brand gaming....if it was done properly

brand gaming is done with series, instead of developer.

and when it actually is done with a developer. the developer doesnt even try to do anything to new at all (squareenix)

I've yet to see a people buy games based on the company who made it, becuase all the games they made were not only good...but different.

!?!??!

oh shit!

Thats EA's plot!

Buy up all the developers put out their games and put a big EA splash screen on them.
FUCK.

shit, i just found out EA had something to do with Half Life 2

shit

now i've gone and bought 3 EA games...

seriously though, i've noticed a disturbing trend. A lot of companies out there are amazingly similar in the way they act. Microsoft - Sony, EA - Square enix, Wal-Mart and, well, just about any other chain cheep ass department store out there, yet for some reason people only pick on one of them, typicaly the American one. Why is this?

I dunno about Square Enix but Sony is probably just as American as it is Japanese these days.

You know, a lot of people were bitching about EA because of the stuff left out of Black and White 2. I believed it because of their reputation, but according to some guy who works at Lionhead (running a course module at my mates Uni), it was Peter Molyneux who left all the stuff out and forced the game out before it was finished. Aparantly nobody likes him who works there. It's made me think twice about things really. It's easy to put all the blame on one company, but it's more than likely not all their fault.

it's odd, because i can't see anything on the packaging or in the manual, but when i went to pick up oblivion i saw the GOTY editions, and the tale they use to keep the cases sealed had EA all over it. kinda shocked me

why wolf? HL2 was a pretty solid game i thought

well yeah, the ending was the the most disappointing ending I've seen in a game, but I'm not gonna judge it on that when the rest of the game is so great.

yeah the rest of the game was pretty good, im not judgung the whole game on just that. i'll probably play the next few parts of it cuzz i had so much fun with it.

the puzzles they came up with to show off the new engine were great.

tho ive always wondered if it was possible to screw yourself over.

like with the Car batteries to carge the gate...
what if you accidently dropped one over the side of the cliff?
